Peter flinched when the door to their apartment fell shut. His Spider-Sense had screamed danger when he had picked up on the sound of footsteps in the staircase, but the loud bang of the door sent another wave of fear through his body. His hands were still moving frantically as he shoved his notebook, which contained some of his better efforts at sketching, in the lowest drawer of his desk to the rest of his personal items. The surface of the desk now was perfectly clean, except for several pens, his calculator and his math homework. Jackson was bad at math so that would give him no ground to attack Peter on, his pride usually prevented him from commenting. He had caught Peter doing his politics homework once and the image of Jackson’s derisive sneer and the memory of the following lecture still sent shivers down Peters spine.
